The one panel we went to on Monday was with the only man to have played two different Doctors. Sylvester McCoy is an amazing man. I am really looking forward to getting to the Seventh Doctor and seeing him in The Hobbit! And instead of us going up to a microphone to ask him questions, he came to us with the microphone! I hope he comes back next year!!!
My battery started to give out near the beginning. But this is the costume that won. The wings move! It was so impressive. Totally deserved Best In Show!
Sunday night was the Masquerade. There were some amazing costumes. But the one great thing throughout it all were the emcees. John Lenahan and Aaron Douglas. Two toasters. It was great.
John voiced Talkie Toaster on Red Dwarf and Aaron was Chief Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica.
Later that day we went to The Venture Bros. panel with James Urbaniak (aka Dr. Venture among others) and Doc Hammer (co-creator and Shoreleave among others). It was one of my favorite panels of the weekend.
Sunday morning we started off with the Red Dwarf panel. Unlike last year, it wasn’t a fan panel. We had a cast member this year! John Lenahan was the voice of the original Talkie Toaster. He is a really funny guy, great magician, and looks like a great author. He’s got two books out right now, and we bought both of them from him after the panel. They sound like really great books. I can’t wait to get started!
John is the one on the right. My hubby is on the left. :)
The TARDIS. Well the TARDISes that stuck with it the entire time and Idris. She was great!
U.N.I.T. went and died on us. Looks like it was the Master’s work.
This is my favorite picture of the entire weekend! He was perfect! And he had a lot of fun.
